Clockwatchers, latecomers, early birds alike: we live in a society endlessly turning around an infinite succession of twelve numbers. They help us clock in the same as everybody else; see the doctor when the doctor is ready to see us; we can bide, we can be short of, we can be just in the nick of. But is time really as instinctive as we think? How soon is now? When did eternity begin? How can something which, by the same measurement, seem to drag by for some and fly by for others?
We are Paper Jukebox, an Illustration Collective: a group of like-minded illustrators with a passion for drawing, printmaking and the hand made. Our exhibition will focus on the mysterious concept of time, exploring how something so intangible forms the structure of our lives. We are curious about how something you cannot see, hear or touch controls our every day…visualize that!
