“Die maur in dem kopf” (The wall in the head) is a series of projected images that follows the notion that there is a wall inside us all which separates us from some other part of ourselves. In order to connect with that part, we must get through this wall. Originally a term of expression used to describe a psychological divide existing between East and West Germans “Die maur in dem kopf” explores a process of passing through the seemingly impermeable, using the changing imagery of walls; the transformative quality of water and the open, infinite spaces of the sky.
