Painting Group is a collective of Bath-based artists who range in age from early 20s to late 40s. Coming from different disciplines and influences, we express an eclectic mix of styles and mediums, as well as subject matter. From Impressionism to the more abstract, the group’s focus is on education and support for its members, sharing advice and experience in a relaxed and fun environment. Meeting once a month for life-drawing sessions at Bath Artist’s Studios, plein-air trips in and around Bath, and Curry & Discussion nights, the group shares the cost equally and runs the group for its members by its members.

UNFRAMED is an expression of the group’s diversity and sense of community, with a goal of providing a platform for new and talented creative minds in Bath. All work will – as the name suggests – be unframed and we are working on a discount deal with The Meltone Gallery framers for customers to take with each purchase. The name is also intended to reflect the group’s philosophy towards artistic technique and expression without boundaries.
