FAB is Bath's only visual arts festival, we actively promote and celebrate contemporary art in the Bath area and beyond, showcasing early career artists and curators, and those who find it difficult to break into (or prefer to operate outside of) the gallery based art scene.

Festival Volunteers

We’re all volunteers, and we’re looking for people like you to join our team and volunteer for any of the roles below. FaB Festival is entirely run by volunteers and we couldn’t do it without your kindness!

Making the Festival happen

We're working on FaB projects every Friday at the moment, all help welcome if you'd like to join in:

  • creating a galleries map
  • researching & contacting sponsors
  • posting our events online
  • marketing
  • starting conversations with local property agents
  • creating & gathering content for the FaB newspaper
  • transferring our website to a new platform
  • Lots more

Setting up and during FaB Festival in May & June:

  • Distributing festival guides in and around Bath
  • Helping prepare exhibition spaces
  • Assisting curators in installing artworks
  • Delivering artworks and materials to venues
  • Invigilating exhibition spaces
  • Acting as stewards for events & Performance Art pieces
  • Monitoring audience numbers
  • Carrying out audience research
  • Participating in an exciting interactive artwork which includes performance

What FaB can offer you:

  • Training
  • Travel expenses (up to £5 per day)
  • Lunch for each shift you do
  • You’ll be part of the team which runs a really exciting art festival
  • Good hands-on experience in the arts and events
  • A reference for future employers
  • You get to meet, network & socialize with artists, curators, event organisers, and other like-minded volunteers.
