Bath's Annual Fringe Visual Arts Festival
FAB is Bath's only visual arts festival, we actively promote and celebrate contemporary art in the Bath area and beyond, showcasing early career artists and curators, and those who find it difficult to break into (or prefer to operate outside of) the gallery based art scene.
Please help support FaB!

FaB is voluntary and non-profit, we're looking for donations, please support us if you can, or get in touch if you are interested in sponsorship:

The Bath Open Art Prize 2017

The Bath Open Art Prize is a totally open call submission, inviting responses with no restrictions or theme, open to all contemporary visual artists, from across the globe, working in any medium.

Now in it's 6th year, the Bath Open Art Prize has included contemporary works of all types, by up-and-coming artists, established makers, and a few who don't fit any mould out there.

Rowan Lear Judges

The Bath Open Art Prize guest judges for 2017 are Robert Luzar and Rowan Lear, who selected 50 works for the exhibition along with Anna Kot, Arran Hodgson and Scarlett Mosnier from the FaB committee.

Rowan Lear is an artist and writer, PhD candidate at UWL and co-Director of Bristol Biennial. Lear curated In Other Words as part of FaB13 while finishing her Fine Art MA, and we are excited to have her back.

Robert LuzarRobert Luzar is an artist, writer, researcher, and educator. Throughout his works, Luzar investigates forms of mark-making through drawing, often within live-art performance, two-person actions, video, photography, painting, and installation. Luzar exhibited in FaB16's Minimalism in Architectural Spaces.
