Bath Open Art Prize 2025 : announcing the Judges
Fringe Arts Bath (FaB) is excited to announce
this year’s judges for the Bath Open Art Prize:
Patrizia Ribul and Dr. Lucy Gundry.
Both are dedicated to celebrating a diverse range of creative voices in the art world and bring profound knowledge of contemporary visual arts, with decades of experience between them.
Dr. Lucy Gundry is an educator, curator and researcher.
Lucy holds a PhD (RCA) in the haptic aesthetics of dress in the contemporary exhibition space, and an MA in contemporary curating. She is an associate lecturer at Bath Spa University and researcher on the AHRC Fashion Research Network project between Northumbria University and Parsons School of Design, NY.
Patrizia Ribul is Director of Museums at Bath Preservation Trust, heading up four museums in Bath.
An established arts and heritage professional, Patrizia has worked for public and private organisations nationally and internationally, including Burton at Bideford Art Gallery and Museum, the West of England Visual Arts Alliance within Spike Island, and Arts Council England. Previous roles include a longstanding position as main art buyer for Tate’s Collection.

Organised by Fringe Arts Bath, this open call welcomes all Visual Artists, at any stage of their career, from across the globe.
The Bath Open Art Prize accepts submissions across all genres and mediums; including video, painting, photography, textile, digital, print and 3D. Small installations and performance are also considered.
An exhibition of works selected by our 2025 judges Dr Lucy Gundry and Patrizia Ribul takes place at 44AD artspace in Bath, UK from 16 Oct to 1 Nov 2025.

For 1 artwork the fee is £22
For up to 3 artworks the fee is £33
1st Prize: £750 cash
