The invitation to eat a cherry asks participants to question what it means to take when being watched.
For some, taking the cherry may feel familiar — a reenactment of an entitled claim to something desirable.
For others, they are invited to claim pleasure, agency, and power in an act that challenges narratives of ownership reinforced by systems of power.
