A beginner friendly workshop where you discover the basics of needle felting
Allison is a needle-felt artist working in both 2D and 3D, using wool to sketch movement, memory, and the human body.
“I discovered needle felting while working with people living with dementia and was struck by the emotional response the soft, versatile material could evoke. Working from old and new photographs, I explore the memories and emotions held within images, often leaving faces blank so viewers can form their own connections.
My 3D practice began through creating swimmer figures for animation. As an open-water synchronised swimmer, I aim to capture the joy, rhythm, and movement of swimming, with the figures also appearing in playful installations and photographic works.”
