Announcing! The Awe and Wonder Exhibition, a creative celebration of our natural world, will be open to the public from 27th May until 10th June as part of Fringe Arts Bath Festival.

Awe and Wonder, hosted at St. James the Less church in Foxcote on the outskirts of Bath, features a collection of beautiful artworks created by talented local artists.

Including organic textiles, ceramics, glasswork, abstract paintings, woodwork, lino prints, pencil drawings, photography, and wire sculpture, the exhibition reveals each Artist’s unique perspective of the intricate beauty of nature, its healing properties and its role as a source of inspiration.

The exhibition is open from 1pm until 4pm every day, with tea and coffee provided by Friends of Foxcote throughout the bank holiday weekend.

Admission is free.

Walking routes to Foxcote church

Click here to view / download the full walking guide.

Here are two ways you can visit Foxcote chapel, as this has very limited parking in the immediate vicinity. These give a variety of countryside to enjoy on your way.

Walking from Shoscombe Village Hall to Foxcote

1.75 miles: 0.9 miles to the chapel / 0.85 miles return.
20min to 30min each way.

Both the outward and return journeys have one stiff climb. The outward route is on country roads, whilst the return journey has both road and field options.

Awe and Wonder - Walk 1 of 2: from Shoscombe Village Hall to Foxcote

Walking from Waterloo Road, Radstock to Foxcote

2.05 miles each way. 60min approx. each way.

The outward route has one sharp hill, with no stiles to climb over. The return route has stiles to climb, and can be muddy through the woods. To avoid these simply return via the outward route as above.

I adore nature and this has inspired my art over the years. I enjoy the way the natural world is full of surprises and how it brings awe and wonder into my life. I work in many different media and enjoy combining unexpected materials with beautiful effect. As well as being an artist I am an art teacher and enjoy so much helping others see creativity and bring works of art into being.
