New Only:Only New
Let’s visually facilitate a discussion around artistic automony.
I would like to explore the organic world of process based work. Work that consecutively changes through chance, impulse, making and interaction.
To retract from the progression of artificial autonomy by celebrating what cannot be searched or generated.
Artwork that is brand new. Drawing, printing, dancing, collaboration, performance, words or and media that hold no influence to this saturation of artificial outlooks.
This exhibit is heavily influenced by the Fluxus movement and what it stands for, the present.
I would like to encourage some of the work to be made in the space.
Also included would be work that was new when it was made. How we have changed in our acceptance of process based work?
I would love to be surprised by someone using digital media or matter but still making it an organic or organic led process. With this in mind I would be grateful for any digital submission with an intention of proving this point
The Curator would like to share these artworks as examples to illustrate their thinking:
Chloe Dowsett, ‘painting with my own hair brush’ - part of the installation at O espaco, Lisbon 2025.
Curated by Chloë Dowsett
Chloë is a West Sussex based graduate of Fine art working alongside her practise as a Bespoke commission specialist in Artistry at Rolls Royce Motor cars. Having worked as a lead technician, teacher of art, within animation and public commissions to name a few, she brings knowledge and experience to new challenges.
Her daily life is a stark contrast to her internal need for chance within her studio space.
Her current and archival personal art practise always leans into drawing and its primary conversations around instinct, permanence and documentation.
Within her studio she celebrates experimental, traditional and sometimes sculptural methods of drawing that are often responses to found input.
