My World, My View

My World, My View

Connecting the world: In an age of digital real-life social disengagement, My World, My View, turns attention back to the local and tangible, prompting a potentially heartwarming global community connection.

The exhibition encourages reflection on how personal landscapes connect us across distance — celebrating small acts of observation as a form of shared art-making.

We are inviting artists and community members to share images showing views from their window or street. Each one capturing a personal perspective on everyday life, forming a collective portrait of how we see the world from where we are. Through these local views, we celebrate connection and the quiet beauty of our own versions of ordinary — transforming individual moments into a global collective art display.

The Curator would like to share these artworks as examples to illustrate their thinking:

Curated by JCB

Creating art anonymously for decades, artist and curator JCB prefers to remain behind the scenes. Her art is expressed through shifting styles and collections rather than a single, defined approach. Born into a multicultural family, educated in Oxfordshire and later living in many parts of the world, she was raised amid contrasting rhythms, colours, and cultures which is evident in her wide ranging subjects and textures of work.
