See. Hear. Speak.

See. Hear. Speak.

The call-out to Artists:

This show explores Visual, Auditory & Kinaesthetic (VAK) which is used to identify learning styles. The same can be applied to different artists’ way of working. This show is about the creative process made via the three categories - sight, sound or touch.

Visual
Artworks inspired by looking, and works made solely to look aesthetically pleasing. Videos with no sound can be displayed in this section too.

Auditory
Works made around sound, such as inspired by or created while listening to music, or submitting sound recordings.

Kinaesthetic
Artworks made by touch or to touch, pieces made blindfold or without sight, sensory works meant to be engaged and played with.

Artists are invited to submit work including a description explaining how it fits into their chosen learning style. The more interesting the concept the better, we encourage artists to really think outside the box for their art submission. Ideas for cross-overs can be submitted too but the show aims to display concepts for works that are predominantly about one of the three categories.

Curated by Emily Krainc

I am an Abstract artist based at BV Studios in Bristol, I have been both exhibiting and curating shows for 15 years. Having graduated from Bath Spa University in 2010 I have been actively working within the art community since this time having exhibited in 34 shows and curated 12 of these. I am excited to curate as part of the Bath Fringe and to both meet and show new exciting artists.
